Points can be flexible, but the value depends on the redemption catalog. A point is not automatically worth one peso. Always calculate the peso value of a redemption, then divide it by the spend needed to earn those points.
Miles can be valuable for travelers who redeem well, but they are not free travel. You may still pay taxes, fees, and deal with seat availability. Miles cards are usually strongest for people who spend enough, travel often, and avoid revolving balances.
